We've enjoyed providing entrepreneurship training through our Canopy JumpStart™ program over the last several weeks. Lucky for anyone that missed it we have the recordings available for viewing anytime.

We field a lot of questions about applying to Canopy™ with topics ranging from "how do I find a co-founder" to "what's a good application look like" and we're taking some time to offer up helpful tips and tricks via an online webinar series.

Week five is off to a blazing start with one team getting a soft commit for some bridge funding and all the teams making significant progress. Some highlights from the week:

One of our outstanding mentors, Michael Leventhal, helped out with a presentation on calculating potential market. Michael's background with Nielsen combined with his focus on cannabis provides fascinating insight into market potential and lends a degree of structure desperately needed within the industry.

One of the interesting aspects of a program like CanopyBoulder is the variety of backgrounds, personalities, and reasons founders have for coming to the program. Each cohort has a unique style and feel. Each founder brings a different perspective. Coming together for 13 weeks of intense work is a once in a lifetime event for everyone involved, including us! Learn why these amazing individuals came to Boulder, what they think about the program, and what keeps them going day-to-day.

On August 24, 2015 nine teams of aspiring entrepreneurs took the plunge and started on the journey that is CanopyBoulder. A 13-week odyssey complete with Sirens and golden fleece, and more importantly with comrades and compatriots. New venture are being launched, new friendships forged, and Opening Day represents the first ste on that journey. Let's tip our caps to these intrepid explorers as they embark on the journey of a lifetime.
