One of the reasons we chose to start Canopy in Boulder is the outstanding ecosystem of startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and freelancers in the community. And that community is exemplified during Boulder Startup Week. BSW is the city's premier entrepreneurial festival, a celebration of everything startup-related, and is sure to be the highlight of the spring.

Join us on April 21st at 5pm for the second to last happy hour of the 2016 spring cohort! Canopy's outstanding class of 10 marijuana-related startups will be on-hand to talk about their vision, job opportunities, and progress to date.

Startups are 90% execution and 10% idea. You just read that but you don't believe it. No one does. They delude themselves into thinking it's all about the idea. Work is work, everyone does it so the real differentiation is the idea. Bullshit. Was Google some amazing idea? Not really, they copied from people before them, tweaked an algorithm, and built the fastest search engine on the Net. Why did they win? They executed on the one thing users really wanted, speed. (And they still lag behind on algorithms: Google versus Wolfram Alpha.)

The program culminates with public Demo Days at the Boulder Theater on May 17th and in Oakland, California on June 18th.
